Buying vs. Leasing
We frequently break down the pros and cons of buying or leasing an automobile for our clients. Purchasing a vehicle means that you will own it once it has been paid off. This time frame will depend on the duration of the loan, which is usually 72 months on average. Being that you own your vehicle, you have the option of making modifications as you see fit. There aren't any limitations to the mileage you can accrue.
Leasing a vehicle is a little different. A typical automobile lease will last anywhere from two years to four years. You will pay a monthly amount for your vehicle, turning it back in when your loan is up. At that point, you can choose another vehicle to lease or purchase. During the period of your lease, you may be limited to the number of miles that you can accrue. You usually cannot make any modifications to the vehicle.
